“Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yet conjure up a childhood summer beside a lake in the mountains. ~Diane Ackerman

Successful feng shui requires more than moving the furniture in a room. All aspects of sensorial receptors must be evaluated.
How does the room look? How does it smell? How does it sound? How does it feel? What is the temperature like? Coded in our DNA are preferences that help us survive, plus we all have personal associations with this information.
Our perceptions are guided by our gender, social economic status, generational, cultural and historical references and positive and negative geographical/geological conditions.
Memories affect the way the space makes you feel. Pyramid feng shui explores the “person” in the “place.” The overriding smell of garlic can be a turnoff to some people while others find it comforting, conjuring childhood memories of home cooked meals.
The goal of good feng shui is to create a space that supports you in your dreams and goals. Surround yourself with good memories of happy times.
Things you love will do that for you. You can also do it by understanding how certain things affect you.
Did you know that the body generally responds similarly to an orange fruit, the color orange and the smell of an orange.
That is because the vibrational frequency of all these things is similar and that is what your body is responding to. This is the language of feng shui. It is a language interpreted by vibrational frequencies.
Mondays with Mo explores colors and aromatherapy on September 17th at Artful Living Group, 6:30 – 8:30pm. Given a pack of 8 crayons, what color would you use to express Love? Joy? Health? Join us in learning how interpreting your associations can support you.
We will also be exploring aromatherapy with a professional energy healer who uses essential oils during her healing process.
Remember that orange? Did you know that orange produces the feeling of happiness and joy? It is no accident that it is the color of the second chakra located near the human reproductive “happy” spot. Smart marketing companies use this information when promoting products. Don’t believe me? Just ask Clinique how they came up with the “orange” packaging for their cologne, which they named ‘Happy.’
Learn more about your space. Classes run $30 per person and class size is
limited. Stop now and close your eyes.
Remember a time in your life when you felt really good. You felt safe and secure and life was fun. What colors do you see? What do you smell? How do you feel? Call 458-7822 to reserve your space now. xo mo
