Green is where the Heart Is: “Facts don't cease to exist because they are ignored.”

Contributing Writer

Have you ever just wondered how things work?  There are so many things we take for granted, for example, the simple flip of a switch and waa laa, there is light in the room.
You turn a handle and fresh water flows from a faucet.   You press a button (or several remotes) and you are connected to the world at large on a big screen TV.
Our world is operating in a most extraordinary way which is quite invisible to us except for the end result, and much of which we take for granted until we are without.
We could not have these luxuries, which we now rate as mere conveniences without the technology of modern science, the discovery
of how electromagnetism works to create a lifestyle of ease and expediency.
Our bodies work in much the same way and electromagnetic fields (EMF’s) have an enormous effect on us.
According to Ann Louise Gitterman in her book, Zapped: Why your Cell Phone Shouldn’t be your Alarm Clock and 1,268 Ways to Outsmart the Hazards of Elecronic Pollution,  “We, and the universe we live in, produce and operate in a sea of natural and unnatural electrical
and magnetic fields. The earth, for example, pulses at about 10 Hz, like a small engine.
Our bodies, as you may remember from chapter 1, are really electromagnetic machines. We simply can't move a muscle or produce a thought without an electrical impulse - and wherever there is electricity, a magnetic field is also produced, which is why we link the two together into one word: electromagnetic."
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has worked for thousands of years based on the assumption that if there is free flow in the body, there will be no pain, and where there is no free flow, there is pain.
The flowing energy or ‘chi’ within the body follows the meridians, which creates the electrical cycle within the body.
Our state of health is
based on the yin and yang or ‘balance’ of this flow.   Western doctors such as Dr. Richard Gerber in his book, Vibrational Medicine are acknowledging this electrical nature of the body and the energetic balance
required for optimum health.
Awareness of how unnatural electrical and magnetic fields affect the body may be the first step in using feng shui to help remedy chronic fatigue, headaches, the inability to sleep or other health issues caused by this invisible activity surrounding us.  Just because you cannot see EMF’s does not mean you are not being affected on a daily basis.  Let’s acknowledge the invisible world of modern technology and protect ourselves from this bombardment of unnatural vibrations.  xo mo
