Green is where the Heart Is: “There is nothing you cannot be, or do, or have.”; Abraham Hicks

If I said to you, “YOU are beautiful,” how would that make you feel?  The first step of a green heart attitude begins with self-confidence and self-satisfaction.
Only then can it grow to connect to others and the world around.  Being pleased with who you are is the foundation of a journey of happiness and joy.  When Susie Linquist was a child her father would tell her to "find something you love to do, and find a way to make a living at it."   Her love for photography lead her to study at Kent State University in Ohio, where she earned her BFA.
She has lead her life directed by her positive attitude.  It is no wonder that the other thing she loves is bringing out the most positive aspects of the people around her.
Although her photography business is made up of weddings and families, babies and maternity shots, her uniqueness reigns supreme with her boudoir work. “I have worked with women ages 22-65+, size 0-18.  Boudoir really is for every woman,” she says with a hint in her eye,  “including every woman who is looking to see herself and her body in a new light, as well as any woman looking to give her partner a gift he will never forget!!!”
Linquist explains, “After experiencing a session for myself, I realized boudoir is so much more for the woman than it is for the person she is gifting the photos to.  So many women come into my studio saying this is a gift for their fiancées, husbands, boyfriends, but they leave saying this was so much more for themselves.  Probably 75% of my clients say this is completely out of character for them.  And when they walk into the studio the day of the shoot, what I hear more than anything is, ‘I am so nervous. But I am SO excited.’  They are pampered with hair and make-up artists, time spent on themselves instead of their usual daily ‘giving to others’ routine.
The main reason I specialize in boudoir photography is for 2 different moments I experience with my clients.  First, it's within the first 10 minutes of a session when I watch them transform and their confidence starts to show.  The other is when I am watching their faces as we go through their photos.  It is so incredible to watch a woman finally see herself as beautiful, sexy, and confident.  There are many reasons women want to do this kind of session, and many don't even know what it is until after they are finished.  And many, decide once isn't enough and come back for round two.”
Artful Living Group will be hosting Linquist’s work beginning with the opening reception Thursday, Nov 1 6:30-8:30.   Join us in welcoming Susie as the featured artist of the month and explore her ability to capture the internal as well as the external beauty of a woman.  It is very important to her that her clients see themselves as beautiful and little is photo shopped. Her clients want to be beautiful and as they see her finished work, they realize, they are.  xo mo
