“The greatest gift you can ever give another person is your
own happiness” -Esther Hicks
By MO LINQUIST
Let’s face it. We’ve all been here before. We have once again traveled to a New Year and a time to reevaluate the old, let go of what is not serving us anymore and grab on to the new.
This year will shape up according to your design whether you consciously create it or unconsciously succumb to it. In the past you may have made resolutions such as dieting, working out, quitting smoking, quitting drinking, spending more time with family and friends and previously you may have stuck with your decision for days, weeks, even a month or two and then life came by and overcame all your best intentions.
Before you realized it, you were 5 pounds heavier, your checkbook was lighter from a gym membership that had not been used for months and some nasty old habits crept back into your life.
So what will make this year different? What if your NY resolution this year was to simply ‘be healthy, be happy.’
Whatever you choose to do to change your life for the better in this year 2013, you have one bottom line. How does it make you feel?
Our bodies have a built in GPS system guiding us in ‘our’ right direction. We simply have to stop, set our course and follow the path according to our ‘feelings.’
By consciously looking at what you eat, how you move and what thoughts you entertain, you CAN make the changes you desire. It can be that simple and it is your job to follow your path of happiness. Jeremy and I want to help you choose happiness and health.
“A New You, a Healthy Eating Workshop,” is being offered by Jeremy Linquist at Carolina Beach Community Acupuncture.
This 6 hour workshop on Saturday January 12th will teach you how to understand food and the way it affects you. You will be able to make educated decisions when shopping and selecting what you buy as well as determining what will work best for you and your lifestyle.
Artful Living Group will be offering my class, “Creating an Intention Board,” on Saturday January 19th at the store from 10am-noon. Using this technique can help bring your dreams, goals and desires to fruition.
The cost is $30 including all supplies and you can bring a friend for free (my gift to you.)
Jennifer F. took the class last year and this is what she said about it. “Thanks, Mo! I had a WONDERFUL time last night! (And, I thought it worked out just perfect that a spot opened up for me at the last minute.) I felt really invigorated after the class and hope I can maintain that positive feeling to keep moving forward toward my goals for this year. I would love to do more classes with you -- while I "get" the visualization exercises, etc. I think I really need help getting on the right track/clearing my chi to start seeing the changes I want in my life. I'm so grateful
YOU are on the island! P.S. I found an article about Vision Boards in one of the Oprah magazines last night and snatched it up so I could bring it home to read. Then, I found an article about the Bagua chart in a House Beautiful issue I brought home from your class. Very strange -- especially since I had never heard of Bagua before yesterday! Maybe the universe was telling me I was meant to be at your class last night? Much love, Jennifer.”
Jennifer’s dream came to fruition as she founded the Montessori School on the island that year.
Focusing thought on something you want will help you bring that thought into reality.
Using intention boards (also called vision boards) can help you better visualize your goals and focus your thoughts on your goals.
Join me in creating your 2013 plan to accomplish your goals/dreams/desires and be healthy and happy. It is the greatest gift you can give yourself and others. xo mo
