This past Thursday folks from the Home Depot Myrtle Grove, Sayer Construction and several Legion members donated time and material to begin construction on a new roof on the Post 129 building. Stacy Walton, manager of the store learned of the buildings needs then filed for a grant through Home Depot’s Community Impact Grants Program called “Team Depot.” The efforts of Team Depot are to improve the homes and lives of veterans and their families. Walton stated, “This is a wonderful program that has not only helped us support local Veteran’s but also supports the American Red Cross Cape Fear and Work on Wilmington project.” For more information visit www.homedepotfoundation.org. Post Commander, Ray Rothrock extended a huge “thank you” to Home Depot, its associates and Sayer Construction for their help.
