Island Tackle’s Bob Eure Turns 86!

(L-R): Wes Barbour, Wanda Barbour, Bob Eure, and Dennis Barbour at Island Tackle & Harware.

This past Monday, August 13th, 2012 faithful True Value Island Tackle & Hardware employee, Bob Eure turned 86 years young! Bob has worked with the company for over 25 years living by something his Dad taught him, “It’s Better to Wear Out, Then Rust Out!” Bob married his High School sweetheart Mrs. Martha Jane and in the 80’s the couple made a move from Raleigh to Wilmington where they have stayed ever since. Bob’s biggest memories of working with True Value is the move from Federal Point Shopping Center to their location on North Lake Park Boulevard and the newest expansion. Eure stated, “I have probably sold more Mullet and ice than anyone on the Island!”
The Barbour Family all shared their love for Bob adding “Bob has always been great at making sure customers have all they need and is always more than willing to help sell tickets for fundraisers and other non-profit events.” Bob will be in on Thursday to be sure to stop in and give him a Belated Happy Birthday wish!
