Hundreds of people came down to Kure Beach this past weekend to get into the holiday spirit and enjoy all of the festivities surrounding the 2012 Kure Beach Fantasy Show held just down from the Kure beach Fishing Pier at the end of K Ave. The three day event is held Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening and features Pleasure Island’s own local talent as your favorite holiday characters singing, dancing, performing skits and more all in the heart of Kure Beach. Each night’s festivities started out with a pre show, which began around 6:30 pm. and included the live Bluegrass band “South of K”. The actual show got started around 7:00 p.m. each night and everyone watched in delight as Frosty, Rudolph, the Grinch and even Santa Claus took to the stage. It was a great time for all of the kids and adults in attendance especially when the snow machine sent light snow down to the audience. The Kure Beach Fantasy Show is one of the Island’s most favorite holiday events. Along with all of the other wonderful Holiday events on the Island during this time of year there are plenty of great reasons to visit Pleasure Island every week! If you missed out on the Kure Beach Fantasy Show then make it a point to plan to go next year and don’t miss the rest of the wonderful events happening on Pleasure Island!
