On December 11 2012, the officers for Federal Point Masonic Lodge #753 were elected to serve for 2013. On January 5th, there was an installation ceremony that was held at the Lodge in Carolina Beach.
The installing Officer was Past Master Roy Keith. Past Master James Norwood served as the installing Marshall and the installing Chaplain was Charles Bordeaux. Friends and families of the officers were also present for the ceremony. The Order of the Eastern Star #361 provided food and refreshments after the installation. The Federal Point Masonic Lodge is located on the corner of Harper and Fifth Street.
The brothers meet monthly and sponsor fundraising activities to support several of our Masonic Charities. The two charities are the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford and the Whitestone Eastern Star Assisted Living Home in Greensboro. The most recent such activity was the raffle for the Wilmington Stainless Gas Grill back on December 11, 2012.
The Lodge also sponsors two Red Cross Blood drives during the year. The next Blood Drive will help on February 25, a Monday, from 2 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the lodge building. Appointments to donate can be made by calling Mike Seigh at 910-386-6639. Walk-ins are also welcome. The second drive will be during the summer with dates to be announced later.
