Hughes Publishes 1st Mystery Novel

Private Investigator Cash Delaney and Defense Attorney Laura Bennett are best friends and partners who have worked together for years in Ithaca, NY. After the conclusion of a case, Bennett is murdered and Delaney is critically wounded. As Delaney recovers, she makes a life-altering decision to seek a private solution for Bennett’s death. Delaney moves to the South, to Carolina Beach. She meets Stella Conroy, herself a private investigator in that town. As Delaney and Conroy work to bring justice to the murder of Laura Bennett, they must also work to solve a local murder before time runs out.
This is the subject of “Crosscurrent” a Cash Delaney Novel, written by Beverlee Hughes, a local author. This is Hughes first published novel and is the first of a series of Cash Delaney mysteries. Hughes has also written poetry, short stories and newspaper articles. Hughes moved to Carolina Beach in 2004.
She loves living here and feels a sense of comfort which has inspired her writing. Carolina Beach is the center of this mystery that involves the women sleuths.
She has begun writing the second book in the series “Finding Mallory” and hopes to write a book per year. At this time you can buy “Crosscurrent” at Amazon either in paperback for $9.45 or download it to your Kindle for $2.99.
