The Fort Fisher #2325 Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, honored a Korean Veteran in a Military Award Ceremony on Sunday, November 17th, 2013 at the Federal Point History Center.
The Ceremony was conducted by Recorder, Mrs. Mary Cobb Woodard, and the National Defense Medal was presented to Joseph Fields Woodard II for his father, staff Sgt. The Chapter provided a reception and tea afterwards.
The Chapter’s next meeting will be held on Sunday, December 15th, 2013 at the Federal Point History Center. A Christmas program on Robert E. Lee is panned, and is open to the public.
