Fort Fisher #2325 Chapter, United Daughters of the confederacy honored 3 of its members at their November meeting for their years of membership. In the absence of their Vice President, Ms. Gayle Tabor, President Patricia G. W. Bolander presented Service Pins and Certificates to: Miss Savannah C. Batson and Mrs. Harry Oakes for 10 years and Mrs. Jimmy Wooten for 35 years of membership. Mrs. Bolander reported on the General Convention in Tulsa, OK., where she was honored for her term as Chair of the UDC Memorial Building Board of Trustees, and was presented with a “Unity” Bar Pin by her Committee. The Fort Fisher Chapter assisted at the “Friends of Fort Fisher” coffee and membership meeting and will help again at their December 10th Open House. Women with Confederate Ancestry are invited to attend these meetings.
