Fonvielle Debuts Faces of Fort Fisher: 1861-1864

This past Tuesday, December 10th the Fort Fisher State Historic Site hosted their Annual Holiday Open House. Attendees and History lovers enjoyed a presentation by Civil War historian, author, and professor Dr. Chris E. Fonvielle, Jr. who debuted his new book Faces of Fort Fisher: 1861-1864. Chris will spoke about some of the memorable people associated with wartime Fort Fisher in the visitor’s center’s Gehrig Spencer Theatre.  Following the presentation, listeners had the opportunity to purchase Faces of Fort Fisher and have it signed. Copies are still available at the Museum’s Gift shop located at 1610 Fort Fisher Boulevard South in Kure Beach.
