First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach EasterFest Schedule

First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach has announced its annual EasterFest service schedule. On Sunday, April 1 at their 11:00 a.m. services, the choir will sing the second part of their three-part Easter Cantata, The Song Everlasting. The second part is titled “Humility”. Sunday, April 1 is Palm Sunday, which commemorates the day that Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem.  On April 1, FBCCB will hold their Lord’s Supper service.
Thursday, April 5 is Maundy Thursday, which recognizes the Last Supper, the last evening Jesus shared with his Apostles before the crucifixion. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a catered meal of ham, potatoes, string bean and bread. Anyone interested in attending is requested to register on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board or by calling the church office at (910) 458-5134. Services will follow with the Lord’s Supper and compelled followers may participate in the foot and hand washing ceremony. Childcare will be provided.
Good Friday is April 6 and FBCCB will host the movie, “The Passion of the Christ” in the sanctuary. Childcare will be provided.
Saturday, April 7, they will host their annual EasterFest activities for children of all ages from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  They will have the ever-popular Easter Egg hunt with other activities, including games, food and inflatables. Children of all ages are invited and are encouraged to bring their friends.
Easter Sunrise Services will open the day of celebration of Christ’s resurrection from the cross on Sunday, April 8 with the annual Community Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. This year’s sunrise service will be hosted at the boardwalk of Carolina Beach. FBCCB will hold their Easter Services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The 11:00 a.m. service will complete the three-part cantata, The Song Everlasting. The third movement of the cantata is titled “Victory”. They will be decorating the cross with flowers at both services and ask anyone wishing to participate in this activity to bring either fresh or silk flowers.
