Tired of winter? Cape Fear Museum is already planning exciting summer adventures for school-age children. Join us for weekly themed camps ranging from Incredible Insects to Museumology. These limited-enrollment camps fill quickly so make plans early! This summer, the Museum is offering the following six hands-on, exciting week-long camps: For ages 5-6: Incredible Insects offers youngsters the opportunity to delve into the world of the 6-legged creatures among us. Dinos and More allows children to discover dinosaurs and their modern relatives!
For ages 7-8: In Science Masters, campers take on the role of different scientists to explore the how’s and why’s of what they do!
For ages 7-10: Time Travelers will discover different eras of our region by exploring the Museum’s collection, investigating time capsules, cracking codes, creating toys and more!
For ages 9-10: Cape Fear Wild uncovers just how wild our region is! Eco-minded campers explore animals, plants and the wild weather of the Cape Fear Region!n For ages 11-14: In Museumology*, campers design and install their own exhibit for Cape Fear Museum by selecting artifacts and telling their stories. Members of Cape Fear Museum can register for camps beginning on January 21st. Non-member registration opens February 1st. Weekly camp fees are $70 for Museum members and $90 for non-members. *Museumology is $90 for Museum members and $110 for non-members.
