Last week Family Night, Fireworks by the Sea and Free Movies at the Lake came to an end for the 2012 Season. Tuesday’s Family Night filled the Carolina Beach Boardwalk with smiling faces as children enjoyed games, face painting, a free amusement ride and more! Special thanks to the Boardwalk Makeover Group and all of the volunteers who made this event happen! A special Thank You goes out to Lynne and Dave Denne of Lynne and the Wave and Paul and Janis Boroznoff of Southern Digital Art who came out every week to donate their time, equipment and expertise! Fireworks by the Sea and Entertainment at the Gazebo with “Eastbond” was held on Friday Night for the Labor Day Weekend. The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce did not disappoint with last weeks display that left Labor Day crowds cheering.
Sunday evening’s Free Movie at the Lake series wrapped up with Journey 2 The Mysterious Island. Presented by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce Free Movies at the Lake are held each Sunday during the Summer season.

The Boardwalk Makeover Groups CASH Bingo will continue each Wednesday until September 12th. Join your Family and Friends at the Gazebo Stage in Carolina Beach at the Historic Boardwalk (Cape Fear Blvd. & Canal Drive) every Wednesday night beginning at 7:00 pm to play CASH BINGO under the setting sun on beautiful Pleasure Island.
