This Saturday, December 1st the Carolina Beach Fire Department will hold their Annual “Make a Child Smile” Toy Drive in front of Food Lion shopping center, and nearby, in the Maxway shopping center. Fireman will be accepting unwrapped toys and monetary donations in hopes of making the holiday season easier and more joyful for some local children. If you can’t make it on Saturday, but still want to participate in this worthwhile cause, the fire department will have someone at the station to accept gifts seven days a week from 7:00am until 7:00pm, excluding a lunch hour between 12:00 and 1:00pm. The station is located on the corner of Dow Road and Charlotte Avenue. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy and “Make a Child Smile!”
