Thalian Association, the Official Community Theater of North Carolina, presents the Wilmington premiere of Xanadu: The Musical. This four-time Tony nominee, inspired by the cult-classic movie starring Olivia Newton-John, follows a Greek muse who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach in 1980. Her quest to inspire a struggling artist to create the ultimate roller disco is accompanied by such chart-topping hits of the period as “Magic,” “Have You Never Been Mellow,” “Suddenly,” “Dancin’” and “All Around the World.” The production stars Shannon Playl and Max Korn.
Auditions for the Miracle Worker
Thalian Association, the Official Community Theater of North Carolina, will hold auditions for The Miracle Worker. Auditions for the roles of Annie Sullivan and Helen Keller will be held on Saturday, February 2 at 10AM. Those auditioning for these roles, please go to www.thalian.org to download the audition scene and watch the attendant video clip to familiarize yourself with the material. Girls auditioning for the role of Helen must be believable as a nine-year-old. Auditions for all other roles will be held on Monday and Tuesday, February 4 and 5 at 7PM. No prepared material required, you will be asked to read from the script. All auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. 2nd Street in downtown Wilmington.
