Trinity Children Foundation Drawing for a Custom Playhouse to be Raffled on Feb. 14th

A gorgeous hand-crafted play house complete with color TV is the coveted prize in a special raffle currently underway courtesy of Trinity Children Foundation (TCF), a non-profit organization that helps abused and neglected children, based in Kure beach, NC. Personally crafted and donated by Alan Votta, principal of Alan Votta Construction, Inc., Kure Beach, the 6’ x 7’ playhouse with 5’ center ceiling height is valued at $7,500. The drawing for the playhouse is scheduled for February 14, 2013. Featured on November 30 in the 2012 Island of Lights Christmas Parade in Carolina Beach, the playhouse is expected to be on display by the weekend of December 7 on the oceanside corner of K Street by the stoplight in the center of Kure Beach.
“We have chosen Valentine’s Day, love day, to find that lucky child who will win the playhouse, says Doris W. Eakes, TCF founder and president. “Mr. Votta’s playhouses are works of art and we are honored that he has chosen Trinity Children Foundation to be the 2013 recipient of his generous annual playhouse gift for charity.” According to Eakes, TCF will use the proceeds of the raffle to advance its newest project, a retreat center to be constructed in Beaufort County, NC. “The venue will be called Wallace Farms Mission ~ Family & Children Retreat,” Eakes says. “We plan to host summer camps that will welcome 30 children per week. Our many activities will include horseback riding, gardening and art classes, all designed to promote self-esteem and personal accomplishments.”
Raffle tickets for the playhouse are being sold at $5.00 each, three tickets for $10.00 or seven tickets for $20.00.
The winner need not be present to win and will be responsible for taxes and relocating the playhouse. “By purchasing raffle tickets, you can potentially make the day of a child who will become the owner of the playhouse and you can definitely make the day of deserving children who will get to attend our camp,” Eakes emphasizes.
