Carolina Beach is honored to be asked to be a part of the Pink Heals - Guardians of The Ribbon National Tour. On September 18, 2013 the Pleasure Island Day of Hope and the Carolina Beach and Kure Beach Fire Departments and the Carolina Beach Police Department will host the Pink Heals National Tour beginning at 5:30'pm at the Gazebo.
Our evening will consist of live music, a cancer survivor tribute and various booths offering information on women's cancer treatments and prevention. Our survivor tribute will be for any woman or child who has ever had or is going through a diagnosis of cancer (any kind). Come on down to the gazebo and be a part of this tribute and sign the pink firetrucks. Bring your family and friends to be a part of this Celebration of Life!
I guarantee its therapeutic effect! We would also like to see the pink firetrucks be welcomed onto our Island as they travel from Snows Cut Bridge to Cape Fear Blvd.
This tour has originated in Arizona and will make a visit to our Island before heading West. Come meet Dave Graybill, the Founder of Pink Heals! In addition to the National Tour vehicles our local Cape Fear Guardian of the Ribbon Chapter will be here. They have been a wonderful addition to our area providing financial and emotional support to our Survivors. For tour dates, video and information visit the website: Pinkfiretrucks.org or Pinkheals.org. Come enjoy an evening where we will Celebrate Life!!
