Fisher Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue between K and L Avenues will be closed to public vehicle traffic around midnight on Saturday evening/Sunday morning. It will remain closed throughout the event and reopen Sunday evening.
You don’t want to miss this year’s Island Day celebration! Signal Fire will kick off the day with live Reggae music. There will be pony rides on the beach from 1-3 pm, as well as corn hole, disc golf, and other games. A bounce house, face painting, and a variety of other hands-on activities and educational opportunities will also be available. Our local performance groups Luv2Act and Pleasure Island Dance Company will entertain the crowd from the stage, before Bibis Ellison closes out the day.
Bring a cooler with sandwiches, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages, or make a donation for a hot dog, chips, and soda from the Carolina and Kure Beach Fire Departments. Sit on your blankets, relax and enjoy the music, activities, and time with friends and neighbors.
