Living with back pain? NHRMC Specialists can tell you about your Treatment options

If you are living with back pain, you know how hard it can be to get the most out of life.  New Hanover Regional Medical Center wants to help you learn more about how to manage or even cure your pain at its free Back Pain seminar on Tuesday, May 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Fitness and Wellness Center in Brunswick Forest, located at 2701 Brunswick Forest Parkway, Leland. Experts from New Hanover Regional Medical Center will talk about the causes of back pain, how you can prevent it and your treatment options.  Specialists will be on hand to talk about non-surgical and rehabilitative options, as well as qualifications for surgical treatment. Speakers will include Todd Rose, M.D., an orthopedic-spine surgeon, and neurosurgeon John Butler, M.D. This event is free and open to the public.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions about back pain.
 The NHRMC Spine Center and has been ranked among the nation's top ten percent of similar facilities for infection prevention and control, complication and readmission rates.  The Center has 16 board-certified surgeons, many of whom are fellowship trained, who treat more than 2,250 back, neck and spine patients annually.
