Carolina Beach Community Acupuncture is expanding. They have hired a new acupuncturist to join the team. In January they will also be expanding the hours to six days a week. The new acupuncturist is Justin Stiffler and he has been practicing acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine for more than seven years. He earned his master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. During his time in San Diego he has had the opportunity to be a part of bringing acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine into practice at several well know Western medical facility's such as Rady's Children's Hospital and Hospice of San Diego. He also spent three years working under one of the leading orthopedic and internal medicine acupuncturist in Southern California. Stiffler is passionate about spreading the knowledge of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine to people of all walks of life which lead him to spend several years traveling the world lecturing and treating patients from all corners of the globe. He is very excited to call North Carolina home in January and can't wait to be a part of The Healing Team at Carolina Beach Community Acupuncture.

The purpose of the sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; they want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better. They understand that everyone’s situation is different, and their primary goal is to make acupuncture available to you as often as you need it. Cupping treatment is $20; new patient adult herbal consultation is $60 and returning patient is $40; new patient children’s herbal consultation is $40 and return patient is $30. Missed appointments without a 24 hour notification will be charged $50 and returned checks will be charged a $30 fee. Also, they are offering a new line of all natural prescription strength topical herbal liniments and poultices for muscle sprains, strains and workout recover.  We also carry a line of herbs for healing to acute injury and broken bones.
