April and Max Sussman, owners of The Veggie Wagon, are busy providing the area with locally grown produce and freshly made foods.
For the garlic lovers, they have vegan creamy cashew tomato soup with an Ashe County garlic cheddar cheese. What is better than tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich? Their soup is made using fresh tomatoes and their very own cashew cream and you can pair it the garlic cheese and a loaf of sweet and savory rye bread.
You will also find baked goods, cheeses, eggs, coffee, dressings, sauces, dry rubs and seasonings, jams, jellies, meats, milk, pasta, pickled products, salsas, herbs, healthy snacks in additional to produce.
They make their own ice cream and also offer candles and aromatics.
They hold wine tastings on Tuesdays and beer tastings on Thursdays from 5 – 7 p.m. All locally produced, you can find your seasonal beer and a great tasting wine at these tastings.
