Spring arrives on March 20, and the area’s schools will be holding its spring break in April. So, Island Time Drop-n-Play Daycare is planning some great adventures for the children during their time off of school. Island Time is holding Spring Break Camp from April 14 through 18. They have field trips planned each day. Monday, April 14 is park/beach day; Tuesday, April 15 is a trip to Kinston’s Nature Park Planetarium; Wednesday, April 16 to Papa’s Farm in Jacksonville; Thursday, April 17 taking the ferry to Southport and Maritime Museum; and Friday, April 18 will be another park/beach day. Children can come for the whole week $150; daily rates are $30 for six hours (sibling rates are available). Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot for the trips.
They are also gearing up for their Summer Camp starting in June. They will offer themed-weeks with daily field trips, fun crafts and activities according to that week. The schedule is as follows: June 16 - Nature Week; June 23 - All Aboard Transportation; June 30 - Red, White and Blue; July 7 - Space Odyssey; July 14 - Believe in Magic; July 21 - Exploring the Arts; July 28 - Passport to Travel; August 4 - Animal Planet; August 11 - Exploring the Arts; and August 18 - Mad Scientist. The last day of the summer will be celebrated with a field trip to Myrtle Beach’s Wonderworks. Exciting right?
Also, Island Time still offers the Second Saturday Shuttle every month. You can drop your children to play and they will drive them home. The van will leave Island Time around 9:30 p.m. and you can expect the children near 9:45 - 10 p.m. Please make your reservations by Friday at 6 p.m. Prepayment required for shuttle service. You can relax at home in your jammies and leave the driving to them. Families must live on the island.
