The Deck House in Carolina Beach is happy to announce that they are now running all of their great off season specials tailored specifically to show their appreciation to all of the locals who keep the Island going year round.  The Deck House loves the summer visitors to the Island but there is always excitement amongst the locals when things start to slow down and we all have time to go out and enjoy the things we love about our community with family, friends and neighbors.  The Deck House has been one of the Islands premier dining attractions for more than 13 years and their delectable fare along with the remarkable specials make them an irresistible option.  More than a restaurant the Deck House is a social gathering spot for some of our Islands friendliest people.  Join them on Tuesdays for half priced appetizers at the bar!  Wednesdays are wondrous for wine connoisseurs or even adventurous novices with half price bottles of wine.  It is the perfect day to try something new or just revisit a flavor you rarely purchase.  They host an astounding assortment of wines including standard varietals as well as some more uncommon selections like Cabernet Franc or Tempranillo.   If Wednesdays are for wine enthusiasts then Thursdays are definitely for beer lovers as the Deck House hosts their North Carolina Craft Beer night offering their collection of craft beers made right here in the state for just $3 as well as half price appetizers at the bar from 5-7 p.m.  North Carolina’s beer making prowess is becoming known throughout the nation and on Thursday nights you can find out why.  The Deck House offers selections from Natty Green (based out of Greensboro, NC) like their Southern Pale Ale and their Guilford Golden Ale.  From the Lone Rider Brewing Company (based out of Raleigh, NC) they offer the Sweet Josie Brown Ale and the Shotgun Betty Hefeweizen.  Come back and recover from the weekend with the Deck House on Sangria Sundays!  On Sundays try any of their specialty Sangria’s for just $6.  They have a plethora of great choices like the Carolina Berry Sangria, the Pomegranate Sangria, or the Peach Sangria made with North Carolina Peach Wine.  They even have a “Skinny Girl Sangria” which is a low calorie beverage made with white wine and fruit!  While there are plenty of reasons at the bar to join the Deck House this fall and winter there is no way you can stay away from their extraordinary food.  The Deck House has long been known as one of the best and most popular destinations for seafood, steaks and pasta and they never disappoint with a menu that boasts mouth watering descriptions of various flavorful entrees.  Over the years many locals have claimed their favorites from the menu but even if you have that one dish you always decide on at the last minute you may want to take the time to mull over some of the new additions.
This summer the Deck House’s “Stuffed Mushrooms” debuted on the menu to the delight of many satisfied diners.  These large portabella mushroom caps are loaded full with a blend of spicy Italian sausage, marzipan and parmesan cheeses along with the perfect amounts of herbs and spices for a flavorful dish that is outstanding.  Another great addition that has seafood lovers excited is the “Peppercorn Seared Tuna.”  This is a huge 8 oz piece of tuna seared to perfection and topped with a balsamic glaze and caramelized onions.  If you have an affinity for tuna then this may be your new favorite!  As always the Deck House offers a massive menu selection as well as their daily blackboard specials.  All entrees come complete with your choice of salad or cup of one of their exceptional soups and a side.  The Deck House is always running new specials and hosting new events all year long.  You can find them on where you can keep up to date on all of the latest happenings at the Deck House, view photos of the inside and outside of the restaurant, and even find an informative video showing you the proper way to eat a whole lobster!
