Pleasure Island loves Freddie’s Restaurant in Kure Beach is one of Pleasure Island’s favorites and has been for more than 17 years.  During the time serving the Island they have built a reputation on serving incredibly delicious food in a warm intimate atmosphere that is perfect for dates, family dinners, nights out with friends or any reason you want to go out and have a wonderful time!  Situated right in the heart of Kure Beach Freddie’s a delectable dining option that everyone will love.    
Freddie’s menu is a sight to behold offering a variety of options that cover a range of wonderful flavors. All of their entrees include Freddie’s famous house salad, served family style with some of the very best dressing you will ever taste. Other great options to start your meal include their tasty bruschetta, the awesome garlic sautéed shrimp, and the delicious seafood stuffed portabella. Freddie’s entrees cover the spectrum from pastas and seafood to steaks and their specialty thick cut pork chops. Everything on menu is a great choice but most people will find their favorite and stick with it! Many people will tell you that you should always order one of their pork chops.
These extra thick, juicy and succulent chops may bring a tear of joy to your eye as you take the first bite. They have a chop available for everyone’s palette with various flavor combinations available. The list includes the “Freddie’s Special Chop” which is flame grilled and covered with cherry peppers and Freddie’s own secret balsamic sauce. Also on the list is the “Firehouse Chop” which is perfect for someone looking to add some spice and heat to their dinner. The “Firehouse Chop” is smothered in “Jim’s own pizziola sauce of sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms.” If you are craving a sweet and tangy flavor on your chop try the “Rum Runner Chop” which is topped with Freddie’s own rum-molasses sauce and grilled peaches. The list of wonderful chops goes on and on with other great choices that range in flavors. If you want to look at the rest of the menu you will find that Freddie’s is also a great location to get perfectly cooked tender steaks. Options abound for the beef eater, from steaks topped with peppers, onions and mushrooms, to an aged filet that will literally melt away in your mouth. Being that Freddie’s is right by the beach the chefs at Freddie’s know how to create wonderful seafood dishes that include pastas with shrimp or grouper and some of the very best White Clam Sauce ever concocted. They offer various traditional pasta dishes like lasagna, spaghetti, Alfredo and more, all conceived with Freddie’s own specialty recipes for some of the best flavors your taste buds will ever have the joy to encounter.
Freddie’s Restaurant is always helping their loyal patrons to eat great while saving money and thus offer great specials every week. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays they offer their “Early bird Special” from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Come dine early before the crowds get out and enjoy the Early Bird Specials which are a smaller portion of many of their most popular menu selections with their famous salad and bread for just $10.
