Carolina Beach Counseling provides individual, couples and family counseling. Treatment specialization includes, depression and anxiety, panic attacks and phobia, sexual and relationship problems, parenting and family issues, AD/HD assessment and treatment for adults and children, substance abuse assessment and treatment, DWI services, medical and health concerns, grief and loss, trauma and PSTD, life transitions, stress management and anger management with a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, clients achieve the personal growth they are striving for. The owner and director of Carolina Beach Counseling is Gordon McInnis. He moved to North Carolina from Indiana with his family in 2003. He received his Master’s Degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a former clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. McInnis’ clinical experience is in both group and individual therapy. He has extensive experience in psychological testing and assessment. Loralie Grigas, MSW, LCSW, LCAS, is a clinical therapist and addiction specialist and has worked and lived in the Wilmington area for more than 15 years. As a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addiction specialist, Grigas understands the unique challenges an individual faces when they have a co-occurring mental health and substance use issues. Offering mental health therapy, addiction treatment, and DWI services including assessments and treatment groups.
The mission of Carolina Beach Counseling is to provide professional, caring, cost-effective behavioral healthcare services thus improving the quality of life for individuals in the community. As practical, interactive, solution-focused therapists, the treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns.
