Spotlight On Coastal Cuisine: 4 Deuces being served at niche Kitchen and bar

WILMINGTON ¬¬– Looking for a new dining experience, niche Kitchen and Bar, will be the place to go. They offer great food and drinks along with a great atmosphere. The deck is completely enclosed, heated and it is decorated for the holidays. They have music on the deck every Sunday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. featuring Lisa Rankin on piano.
The food is made 100 percent from scratch and offers as much variety as possible and tries to have something for everyone. There are specials every day, fresh catches from local suppliers; they try to work with local businesses to obtain the quality of food they offer.
Each week the chef creates a special dinner, called “4 Deuces” and it is available Tuesday through Thursday from 4 – 9 p.m. The dinner includes two courses, paired with two wines all for $22. A sampling of what has been offered is Osso Buco pork ribs with risotto and Milanase or Thai shrimp with coconut risotto cake and Farfalle and fungi with roast chicken and rosemary, yum So, let’s talk a little about the menu. The cheese section of the menu offers cheeses, from warm brie to their house pimento. The tapas Americanos section gives the customer a taste of tapas with a little twist, what is offered is herbed humus, blue crab dip, smoked salmon, fried pickles, shrimp tapatio or grilled crab cake just to name a few.
Some other food choices are asparagus antipasti with choice salamis, fresh mozzarella, balsamic braised Bermuda onion, mixed greens and roasted red peppers; fried green tomato “Big Mac” this is stuffed with New Orleans shrimp salad; roast beef rolls are fresh roasted prime rib stuffed in French rolls with Havarti cheese and au jus; how about Portobello and buffalo mozzarella Panini with spinach, roasted red peppers and herbed hummus on ciabatta bread. And, people this is not all of them.
On the lunch menu you will find butter pecan crusted flounder with a smoked pepper cream sauce and spicy green tomato chow chow or tortilla crusted chicken with ranchero sauce, rice and Cuban beans; now onto a couple of dinner choices, jambalaya yaya with shrimp, chicken and Andouille sausage over rice, and how about fire grilled peach stuffed pork chop with green Chile risotto and crispy onions. You will need to check out niche Kitchen and Bar for the rest of the menu.
They have also added a specially prepared dessert menu featuring: four homemade desserts, specially created coffee liqueur drinks and their dessert martini creations
