WILMINGTON – Pelican’s Roost is a multi-vendor resale shop and produce stand locally owned and operated by Jim and Linda Hunt; they offer items from jewelry to produce and everything in between. The shop is south of Monkey Junction and it is one of the largest indoor shops in the area. Come in and take your time in exploring this 7,500 square foot building that has everything from jewelry to furniture to everything in between.
The Hunts are planning for the spring. They have some herb plants now but they will be increasing the varieties and bringing in more plants. They will also be adding aquatic plants to their inventory in March. You will be able to buy herbs by the plant and if you do not have the green thumb for planting, they will be offering fresh herbs and selling them by the ounce.
The Hunts are also planning a garden show, with the date to be announced. However, they will be announcing the event on Facebook. They also post on their page the local produce they have to offer and other information regarding what is going on at the shop.
Do you have a lamp you just love, but it is not working, it may need a new cord or new parts. They are now offering a lamp repair service. This service is normally done on the weekends, but you can come in and drop off your lamp during the week and receive an estimate of the cost to repair the lamp, leave it then to get fixed.
So, stop by and visit Pelican’s Roost, the store is for the avid vintage shopper, for the collector and for someone who is looking for something special. In fact, if you are looking for something special and you do not see it there, just ask and the Hunts may be able to locate it for you. They also offer local produce throughout the year.
