NHSO Vice and Narcotics Bust Marijuana Grow House

New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Detectives concluded an investigation
of an indoor marijuana grow operation late Monday night July 23.
A search warrant was executed at the residence of 107 Hawthorne Dr. Detectives located two
separate indoor grow operations at the residence. The first grow was located in a back room of the residence. The second was found in a storage building located at the rear of the property. More than 150 marijuana plants were seized during the operation. The plants have a potential value of more than $200,000. Also located was harvested marijuana and packaging material. The
grow house included an extensive ventilation and artificial lighting equipment. Detectives arrested Harold Monroe Becker Jr. a 56 year old white male for multiple felony drug charges. Becker is currently in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $50,000.00 secure bond.
