CAROLINA BEACH - The Carolina Beach Police are asking the public to help them identify and locate two suspects in connection with a Labor Day Weekend beating at the McDonald's on Lake Park Blvd.
The victim is Roderick Brooks Savage.  He and a friend where on their way back to their condo on September 3, at around 1:30 a.m.  They wanted to swing by McDonalds and get some food, but McDonalds will not serve people in the drive thru if they are not in a vehicle late at night.
According to Carolina Beach Police Detective Derek Moore, Mr. Savage and his friend approached three white males who were in a brownish colored Ford F-250, four door if they could give them a ride through the drive thru and Mr. Savage would even buy them some food.
The unknown white males agreed and Mr. Savage's friend walked away from
the vehicle for a brief moment and when he did, the two white males began to assault Mr. Savage.
The two men in the pictures provided by police are wanted for questioning.
Savage was taken to the hospital by EMS for his injuries and as of September 18, he was undergoing surgery on his broken arm.
If you have information about this crime, please contact the Carolina Beach Police Department at 910-458-1246. Anonymous tips are welcome.
Mr. Savage is offering $5,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest of the persons that assaulted him.
