State Bureau of Investigation Arrests New Hanover Sheriff's Deputy

NEW HANOVER CTY - According to the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, on December 3, 2012 the Sheriff’s Office received a criminal complaint in reference to a Deputy.  Immediately they turned the information over to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI). According to a release from the Sheriff's Office, on December 10, the SBI charged Harold Lamont Fletcher with two felonies.  Fletcher has been charged with one count of secret peeping, and one count of indecent liberties with a minor. Both counts are felonies.
He has been terminated from the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.  He is currently under a $15,000 secure bond.
Harold Lamont Fletcher, 37 year old black male, started working for the Sheriff's Department on January 30, 2007. He was terminated from employment December 10.
