Carolina Beach was alive with Christmas Spirit last weekend for the annual Island of Lights Christmas Parade Friday night throughout the downtown area on Lake Park Blvd and the Flotilla the following night at the Town's Municipal Marina.
This past Friday the Island of Lights brought huge crowds to Carolina Beach for their Annual Christmas Parade. Friends, families and neighbors lined up along the sides of the Lake Park Boulevard between Atlanta Avenue and Federal Point Shopping Center to watch local businesses, clubs, organizations, bands and more show their holiday spirit spreading cheer with costumes and brightly lit floats. The big man himself finished the parade off atop a bright red fire truck! The organization works very hard all year long to make sure this event gets bigger and better each year. This year’s parade and flotilla was a huge success and the Island of Lights deserves special thanks for bringing us such a festive and exciting event each year. The Island of Lights would like to offer a special thanks to the Towns of Carolina and Kure Beaches along with the Carolina Beach Police Department. A final thank you is offered to the participants of the parade, flotilla and all of the people who come to Carolina Beach to watch every year. For more information visit www.islandoflights.org.
