Newly reelected Mayor of Kure Beach Dean Lambeth took the oath of office Tuesday December 17th for another two-year term.
Craig Bloszinsky took the oath of office for a four-year Council term.
Steve Pagley took the oath of office for a four-year Council term.

KURE BEACH - Kure Beach Mayor Dean Lambeth and Council members Steve Pagley and Craig Bloszinsky took the oath of office at the Council's December 17th, meeting. All three ran unopposed in the November election. Mayor Lambeth was reelected for another two-year term. Pagley and Blozinski will serve four-year council terms. The Council recognized outgoing member Chuck Keener for his years of service to the Town serving on various committees and as Councilman.
North Carolina Senator Thom Goolsby issued the oath of office during the December 17th, meeting.
The Town of Carolina Beach was the only municipality in New Hanover County without a Mayor running unopposed. Kure Beach was the only municipality with all elected positions unopposed.
The Kure Beach Town Council decided at their November 19, 2013 meeting to schedule a Council Retreat on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 8:00 am, or soon thereafter, until approximately 5:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area's National Guard Training Building in Conference Room 103.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and consider the following items:
• Current and future goals of departments and committees
• Mid-year financial review
• Prioritization of current and future goals of Council
This meeting is open to the public and all interested persons are encouraged to attend.
