(New Hanover County, N.C.) - Given the current forecast and dangerous conditions currently affecting New Hanover County, all administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 29. This closure includes all county parks, Airlie Gardens, and Cape Fear Museum.
Additionally, New Hanover and Pender County courts will also be closed on Wednesday.
Currently, the 911 Center is receiving multiple reports from public safety officials that roadways throughout the county are becoming extremely icy and dangerous to traverse. Citizens are asked to heed all warnings and stay in place until travel conditions improve - which could be Thursday.
Power outages should be reported to Duke Energy Progress at (800) 419-6356. Please do not call 911 to report power outages.
