RALIEGH, N.C. : March 13th, 2014 - The N.C. Department of Transportation began intermittent lane closures Monday, March 17 in both directions of the Cape Fear Memorial bridge in Wilmington.
Weather permitting, the intermittent lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday, March 28.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform routine biannual bridge inspections.
NCDOT urges motorists to use caution when traveling in the work zone.
