Debra J. Haas of Wilmington, born October 31, 1955, died September 19, 2012 from cancer. Debbie leaves behind her beautiful mother Martha Haas of the home, awesome sister, Vicki Haas White (Joe) of Fleming Island, FL and Big Brother, Doug Haas (Georgeann) of Wilmington along with 3 beautiful nieces, Katie, Jessica and Marley, and her favorite nephew Jeb. Even though Debbie was not born in New Hanover County, she considered Carolina Beach her home town and has spent her time back in Wilmington reconnecting with her old friends which was a passion of hers. She was one of the founders of the Carolina Beach Kid Reunion which was something she looked forward to every year.
Debbie spent 30 years in the hospitality industry, mostly with Holiday Inn and Marriott, and retired in her hometown of Wilmington to be with her mom.
