2013 Boating Safety Courses Offered by Wilmington Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10-06

The Wilmington Flotilla 10-06 will hold its “About Boating Safely”, a 7 chapter course from May 6 to May 16 on Monday and Thursday nights on the downtown campus of CFCC.  Cost is $35.00. Topics to be discussed include the following; know about your boat, getting underway, navigating the waterway, operating your boat safely, legal requirements, boating emergencies and how to handle, and best ways to enjoy water sports with your boat.
The State of NC has mandated that all boaters between the ages of 16 and 26 must take a boating safety course effective May 1, 2010.  A PWC (Personal Water Craft) is a boat.  This course meets that requirement.
