Ashley High School Crystall Harrell leads Screaming Eagles past Clayton 3-1 with Pitching and Hitting

The Ladies got off to a good start in the 1st Round of the East Regional Play-offs after picking up 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. Taylor Carter got the Eagles started after reaching on a bunt single. She later took 2nd on a passed ball and stole 3rd before reaching home on a RBI groundout by Crystal Harrell. Kaitlyn Adams later drove in another run after a base hit to right field. Clayton was able to make it a 1 run game after picking up their only run in the top of the 3rd inning. The Ladies were able to pick up 1 more insurance run in the bottom of the 4th inning. After that no more runs crossed the plates giving the Lady Eagles the 3-1 win and improving their record to 17-5 overall on the season. The Ladies had a total of 11 hits on the game and just 1 error. Crystal Harrell picked up her 17th win of the season and at the plate she went 3 for 4 with a RBI. Kaitlyn Adams also had a good night from the plate going 2 for 3 with a RBI.
