Ashley High School: Eagles Soccer pick up wins against Havelock & South Brunswick

• Lightning Prevents Match (8/24) - It turned out to be a Friday afternoon drive for the team as lightning occurred when we made it to the field. We hoped to get it in but as it was about time to be able to take the field again lightning struck again.
• Second Half Goal Insures Win (8/25) - Tony Mack scored an unassisted goal in the 59th minute to give the Eagles the victory. Ashley had 20 shots on goal to Havelock's 6 shots. Camden Simmons recorded his first shutout in goal with 6 saves out 6 shots on goal.
• Second Half Showed What The Team Is Made Of (8/27) - The Cougars were in trouble from the opening kickoff and should have been finished by the 10th minute but the Eagles could not find the back of the net in the early going despite creating numerous opportunities.Durwin Hamilton finally found the back of the net 33 minutes into the match on and assist from Sean Baker. The second half was a different story as the Eagles showed how they can play when they work as one unit.
The guys knocked the ball around and had South Brunswick chasing them all over the place. Three second half goals were scored: Parker Rackley assisted by Tony Mack, Austin Davis unassisted, and finally Justin Savinon assisted by Myles Strickland. Camden Simmons recorded his second shutout in goal with 4 saves and had some help from keeper Cameron Wilson.
