• 9/5 - Late and Never Caught Up - After a late start to get on the road The Eagles never seemed to catch up. The Trojans of West Brunswick found the back of the net just ten minutes into the game. Will Whittington found the equalizer for the Eagles about midway through the half but that was it for the Eagles scoring. Scotty Melton exploded in the second half with three goals to add to his first half goal. West Brunswick got the win with a score of 4 to 1. The Eagles are now 3-2-1.
The JV team suffered their first loss of the season by a score of 2-1. Their record is now 4-1.
• 9/7 - Ashley 3 South Brunswick 2 - Double Comeback Results in Win - The Eagles had to come back from being down twice (1-0 & 2-1) in order to seal the victory. South Brunswick scored in the 9th minute to take a 1-0 lead and kept it until Gary O'Neill knotted the score on a Danile Harris assist. South answered with their 2nd goal of the game a couple of minutes later to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. Just over a minute into the second half a fired up Parker Rackley bulldozed his way to the corner and sent a cross to Austin Davis whp placed it in the back of the net. The Eagles took the lead at the 63 minute mark on a Myles Strickland goal to give us the final score of Ashley 3 South Brunswick 2.
Eagles got a home game against Coastal Christian High School Friday night at 6:30PM.
