After taking an Early 7-0 lead on their opening drive, but 2 mistakes later had Greenville Rose in the drivers seat for the rest of the game. The Ramparts were able to take advantage of a bad punt for their 1st 6 points, followed by a forced fumble which was returned almost 8-yards for a touchdown. Giving Greenville Rose a 13-7 1st quarter lead. The 2nd quarter things just got worse for the Eagles as Rose posted 14 more unanswered points giving them a 27-7 halftime lead.
In the 2nd quarter the Eagles were only outscored by a point, but they couldn’t make up the deficit from the 1st half giving Greenville Rose the win 41-20.
The Eagles had some success on the ground picking up 377 yards. Quincy Rhodes had 236 yards on 32 attempts and a touchdown, Quarterback Chris Kane had 115 yards on 11 carries and 2 touchdowns.
Next week the Screaming Eagles will host New Hanover who is ranked 10th in the State.
