Ashley High School Varsity Boy’s Basketball Team make big come back against Hoggard but come up Short

Boy’s fall to 2nd Place in the Conference

#44 Senior T.J. Williams finished out the game with 13-points for the Eagles.

• 1/25 – Ashley 57 Hoggard 52 – The Eagles fell behind early in this game after losing one of their best Ridel l Camidge with a high ankle sprain. This happened early in the 1st half and the Eagles had to play catch up in the 2nd half after falling behind by as many as 13-points.
The Eagles hit a couple big shots in the 2nd half and helped get the crowd going. The Eagles were able to tie up the game at 50-50 with about a minute and a half left in the 4th quarter despite having 3 key members foul out. The Eagles looked like they were going to take the lead, but Hoggard forced a steal and went back up by 3-points. The Vikings held off the Eagles to take the win 57-52. The win put the Vikings in 1st Place in the Mid-Eastern Conference and the Eagles are tied for 2nd Place with New Hanover. The Eagles will have played Laney on Tuesday while the Vikings play New Hanover, which could make for a 3-way tie for 1st Place. The Ealges will be on the road Friday Night against Greenville Rose and at New Hanover next Tuesday Night.
