• 4/26 – Ashley 20 Laney 19 – Ashley Women’s Lacrosse traveled to Laney for the last regular season matchup for what has turned into a must see perennial back and forth battle, the game played out like this.   With 16 minutes left in regulation, Laney was up 10 to 7.  Ashley scored 3 straight goals to tie it up at 10.  It turned into a offensive battle in second half then Laney scored two quick goals that gave them the 16-15 lead.  Ashley’s freshman goalie, Kelsey Meadows had a crucial save that gave Ashley possession and a final chance to score.    It looked like Laney would finally get that first win over Ashley until an assist from Natalee Kasdan to Peyton LeCompte allowed her to score a clutch goal with .4 seconds left in regulation that ended in a 16-16 tie.
LeCompte won the first draw of OT and quickly passed to Felicity Havens who had the assist to Natalee Kasdan who put the first OT goal on the board.  Then what looked like a repeat of the first draw, LeCompte to Havens with an assist to Heather Talton.  Ashley was up 18-16 in overtime.  The winning goal for Ashley came on an assist from Heather Talton to Peyton LeCompte to give Ashley the 20-19 lead and the win.
