Ashley Boy’s finish their Season with wins over New Hanover and Laney

• 4/23 – Ashley 9 New Hanover 8 – The Eagles were able to break out to a early 4-2 lead after the 1st period in this game as they tried to get some revenge on New Hanover for their loss earlier in the season. The Eagles continued to look good in the 2nd period outscoring the Wild Cats again 3-2 giving them a 7-4 advantage at halftime. After halftime though it was all Wildcat’s as the held the Eagles to just 1 2nd half goal. But fortunately for the Eagles there defense held off a late surge by the Wildcats and won by 1-point 9-8. HIGHLIGHTS: Michael Magness had 2 goals and 2 assists with 8 shots on goal; Bryce Adams had 2 goals and 1 assist with 2 shots on goal; Mason Owens had 2 goals on 2 shots; Michael Colella had 2 assist and 2 shots on goal; and Michael O’Neil had a goal. In goal Zac Tilley had a busy night working for 48 Minutes, allowed 8 goals out of 30 shots on goal.
• 4/26 – Ashley 12 Laney 8 – After a tied up 3-3 1st period the Eagles were able to take a 3-goal lead at halftime 7-4. After halftime Laney remained close to the Eagles after a 3-2 3rd period but the Eagles up to 4 and a 2-2 4th period. The Eagles won their final Conference game of the season 12-8 avenging their loss earlier in the season. HIGHLIGHTS: In Goal Zac Tilley had another busy night working 48 minutes allowing 8 goals out of 20 shots. Michael Magness 5 goals, 1 assist, and 5 shots on goal; Bryce Adams 2 goals out of 2 shots on goal, Greg Mayer 2 goals out of 4 shots on goal; Mason Owens had 2 goals, 4 assists, and 6 shots on the goal; Michael Colella had a goal, 3 assists, and just 1 shot on goal.
