The 2013 Ashley High School Summer Softball Camp brought 45 Girls to the Softball Field looking to take their game to the next level. Ashley High School Softball Coach Chip Adams, “Had a great time watching the High School Girls work with the next generation of Softball Players. No better way to continue participation in a fun game.” The Camp had at least 45 Girls per day and lasted 4 Days last week from Monday – Thursday. Thursday was probably the Girls favorite day as they covered sliding in a fun way. The Coach’s setup a large tarp and covered it in water for the girls to practice on and on a hot day this served two purposes: Learning to Slide and Staying Cool.
Coach Adams added, “The Girls at the Camp learned all aspects of Softball from: Throwing, Fielding, Hitting, Pitching, base running and sliding.
The other coach’s that helped out at the Camp were: Billy Maultsby, Buddy Stappins, Mallory Bendig, along with the whole 2013 Varsity Ashley High School Softball Team.
