• 11/25 – Ashley 59 Seventy-First 95 – This was a game of 2 halves for the Lady Eagles. After the 1st quarter the Ladies were looking strong and took a 4-point lead 14-10. However in the 2nd quarter the Falcons of 71st were able to come back and take a 3-point lead by halftime 27-24 after outscoring the Eagles 17-10. After halftime the Ladies fell apart as the Falcons outscored them 26-11 in the 3rd quarter and 25-14 in the 4th to take the win 78-49. HIGHLIGHTS: Felicity Havens scored 17-points, was 2 for 7 from the 3-point line, 5 for 6 from the free throw line, had 3 steals and a block, and had 6 rebounds; Sophia Neubauer had 12-points, shot 50% from the field 4 for 8, 4 for 6 from the free throw line, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals;Morgan Davis had 8-points, shot 3 for 7 from the field, 2 for 4 from the free throw line, had 8 rebounds, 1 assist; Chyna Cotton had 7-points, shot 50% going 3 for 6 from the field, 4 rebounds, 2 assist and a steal; Jada Bacchus had 6-points, was 2 for 2 from the free throw line, 8 rebounds and a steal; Brittany Butts had a point, a rebound and a steal; and Penka Heusinkveld had 2 steals.
• 11/26 - Ashley 67 Havelock 37 – The Ladies bounced back from their loss with a win over Havelock last Tuesday Night at Havelock. The ladies offense helped propel them out to a 9-point lead after the 1st quarter 15-6. In the 2nd quarter the Ladies defense was not able to stop Havelock, but the ladies still managed to outscore them by 2-points 19-17 giving them a 11-point lead at halftime 67-37. After halftime Coach Gale had the ladies tighten up on their defense and allowed just 14-points in the next 2 quarters. Meanwhile their offense couldn’t be stopped picking up 25 in the 3rd quarter and 8 in the 4th giving the ladies the win 67-37. While the Ladies won they have committed 58 turnovers in 2 games and will need to work on that in order to beat 71st Friday at home. Tip-off is 6PM. The win evened the Ladies record up at 1-1 on the season. HIGHLIGHTS: Morgan Davis lead all scores with 17, was 7 for 9 from the field, 3 for 3 from the free throw line, 3 rebounds, and 6 steals; Felecity Havens 15-points, was 5 for 9 from the field, 5 for 6 from the free throw line, had 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals; Jada Bacchus had 10-points, was 2 for 3 from the field, 6 for 9 from the free throw line, 5 rebounds and 4 steals; Chyna Cotton had 10-points, was 5 for 6 from the field, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals; Taylor Butts had 5-points; Sophia Neubauer had 4-points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals; Dana Craig had 4-points, 1 rebound and a steal; Carly Higgins had 2-ponts and a rebound; Brittany Butts had 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 3 steals; and Rich Kalll had 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. As a team the ladies shot 53.1% from the field, 71.4 from the free throw line, 30 rebounds, 11 assists, and 31 steals.
