Jack E. Fryar, Jr. gave an intensive program on the 1862 Yellow Fever Epidemic in Wilmington. The combination color slide and audio presentation was outstanding.
The program was held in the Federal Point History Center. Mrs. Edison. C. Curtis, Honorary President of the North Carolina Divisions, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Chairman of the NC Division Sesquicentennial Committee who opened the program, was introduced by Mrs. Patricia Gray W. Bolander, President of the Fort Fisher #2325, after a question and answer period, Mrs. Curtis presented Mr. Fryar with a certificate of appreciation. Guests were given the opportunity to look over Mr. Fryar’s books on the Historic Wilmington area.
