Pleasure Island Soccer Association’s Fall 2012 Rec. League completes 2nd Week

The Island Gazette U7 Girl’s won their Season opener against Harris Teeter 2-1 during the 1st week of play.

The Pleasure Island Soccer Association’s 2012 Fall Recreation League completed their 2nd week of play this past Saturday with games being played at Veteran’s Park and Mike Chappell Park this Season. One thing this League continues to do every season is get bigger and this season is no exception. There are 9 boys and girls Age Division’s this season and even a Adult League. In the kids leagues there are 77 total teams. Games will be going on from now until the 1st weekend in November.
This past weekend results were:
• U6 Girls – Rita’s won their 2nd game of the season 9-2 over After School Karate Academy. In the other game Island Monressori School and Dr. Skip & Dr. Steph finished in a 4-4 tie.
• U6 Boys – Little BWW picked up their 1st win of the season after their 9-3 win over Got-Em-On Live. Wilmington Health picked up their 1st win of the season after defeating Dr. Skip & Dr. Steph 6-1. Also picking up their 1st win of the season was Bouncin’ Party Rentals who won 10-1 over Hang Ten Grill.
• U7 Girls – In their 1st game of the season Victory Awards & Trophies and Jungle Rapids finished in a 4-4 tie. In the 2nd game the Island Gazette was able to move into 1st Place and stay undefeated after they shutout Ribbet Salon 2-0. In the final game Harris Teeter was able to move to 1-1 on the season, after they shutout Signal 2-0.
• U7 Boys – Pleasure Island Insurance was able to move into a tie for 1st Place after their 4-3 win over Island Tackle & Hardware. Rent-A-John defeated Buffalo Wild Wings to take their 1st win of the season. In the final game Tumblegym 2 was able to move into a tie for 1st place after their 5-2 win over Superior Auto.
• U8 Girls – Chick-Fil-A was able to move to 1-0-1 on their season after their close 3-2 win over Beach Charms. In the 2nd game Masonboro Family Medicine was able to win their Season Opener 6-1 over Victory Beach Vacations.
• U8 Boys – Hibachi Bistro picked up their 1st win of the season defeating Michael’s Seafood 8-3. Above & Beyond Wireless was able to remain undefeated after their 6-3 win over Michaelangelos.
• U9 Girls – Crossfit Carolina Beach picked up a close 2-1 win over Got 31 Bags to stay undefeated on the season. In the 2nd game Abeles Construction moved to 1-1 on their season after they shutout Seahawk Soccer Camps 6-0.
• U9 Boys – El Cazador picked up their 1st win of the season in their season opener 8-6 over Pleasure Island Rentals. E2A was able to remain undefeated after their 1-0 shutout win over Brush Dental.
• U10 Boys – Carolina Pediatrics moved into 1st Place after their 6-2 win over Masonboro Family Medicine. In the other game Faircloth Electric and Wilmington Lawn finished in a 3-3 tie.
• U11 Girls – WHITE – Wetherill Family Dentistry was able to stay undefeated after they won a close game against Constructive Building Solutions 2-1.  In the 2nd game ZIP ZAP moved to 1-1 on their season after they defeated Starling Marine 5-1.
• U11 Girls – RED – Fuzzy Peach and Papa John’s combined to 13 goals in this game with Fuzzy Peach coming out on top 9-5. In the 2nd game Admirals Quarters was able to win their season opener after they shutout NRL Builders 3-0.
• U12 Boys – State Farm – David Ward won their 2nd game of the season by a shutout this time 4-0 over Quench Gum. Andy’s Cheeseburger’s was able was able to win their season opener 7-5 over Omega Sports.
• U14 Girls – Seacoast Engineering was able to pick up their 1st win of the season 6-2 over Carolina Sports Medicine. Brush Dental was able to stay perfect on their season after they shutout Comfort Suites Magnolia Greens 5-0. Above & Beyond HVAC improved to 1-0-1 on their season after they shutout Feisol Tripods 2-0. Patient Care of Wilmington was able to improve their record to 2-0 after they defeated State Farm Thomas Murphy 6-1.
• U15 Boys – Buffalo Wild Wings won their 1st game of the season 6-1 over Michaelangelos. In the last game Shuckin Shack was able to stay undefeated after their 5-2 win over Trophy Rides.
