1st Place 2nd Chance and 2nd Place Charlie’s battled it out this past Thursday Night.

1/29/13
• 6:30 – The Mustard Seed vs. Chulluminati – This was a close game with Mustard Seed able to take a 3-point lead at halftime 27-24. After halftime the game remained close thanks to some big 3-pointer’s by Chulluminati, but The Mustad Seed connected on their free throws to take the win 58-52. HIGHLIGHTS: The Mustard Seed: #32 Christian Erickson 21, #24 Rashad Gattison 11, #2 John Hicks 8, #5 Jay Ross 7, #3 Derrell Clark 6, #1 Darius Horton 3, and #4 Colin Baron 2. Chulluminati: #24 Ajay Singh 17, #13 Harris Fayad 13, #2 T.J. Tarasco 7, #41 Nick Douglas 6, #6 Justin Metts 5, and #3 Brandon Costabile and #15 Ian Sullivan each had 2-points.
• 7:30 – United Rentals vs. Charlie’s – The 3-pointers were falling for both teams in the 1st half of this game as they connected on a combine total of 11, but Charlie’s was also able to hit a lot of field goals to take a 12-point lead at halftime 42-30. After halftime both teams buckled down on their defense, with Charlie’s able to outscore United Rentals 31-21 to take the win 73-51. HIGHLIGHTS: United Rentals: #26 Brett Bunting 23, #13 Derek Koontz 13, #22 Robert Goulding 8, #7 Ben Taft 5, and #33 Robbie Kelley 2. Charlie’s: #22 David Thumser 22, #5 Austin Cain  and #24 Lucas Reed each had 15, #4 Logan Cain 12, and #11 Zach Finnegan 9.
• 8:30 – LS Smith Contractors vs. The Replacements – This was another close game with LS Smith up by just 2-points at the halftime break 34-32. The Replacements in search of their 1st win on the season were playing tough defense holding LS Smith to just 24-points in the 2nd half. But there offense also had trouble getting thru LS Smith’s defense as they held the Replacements to 20-points. LS Smith won by a final score of 58-52. HIGHLIGHTS: The Replacements: #4 Dan Kaczynski 23, #7 Josh Butler 21, #22 Chris Roos 4, #24 DJ Moon 3, & #10 Jim Chisum had a point. LS Smith Contractors: #32 Louie Decarolia 21, #0 Daniel Lockwood 17, #2 Tyrell Horton 7, #3 Chase Blackburn 5, and #22 George Buckingham, #7 Jason Wall, #24 Justin Anderson, and #5 John Graves 2 each.
1/31/13
• 6:30 – Charlie’s vs. 2nd Chance – This game saw a lot of tough defense and not a lot of points. By halftime the 2 teams combined for 37-points with 2nd Chance taking a 3-point lead 20-17. After halftime both teams continued to tough defense with 2nd Chance starting to pull away late in the game forcing Charlie’s to foul and shoot 3-pointers. Charlie’s was able to get to within 6-points, but 2nd Chance knocked down to many of their free throws, giving them the win 45-39. HIGHLIGHTS: 2nd Chance: #7 Sam Lance 16, #22 Luke Bruin 9, #4 Chris Allen 6, #1 Orlo Work and #4 Tom Bruin 5 each, and #24 Maurice Murphy 4.  Charlie’s: #5 Austin Cain 12, #4 Logan Cain 10, #24 David Thumser 8, #11 Zach Finnegan 6, and #32 Ethan Strickland 3.
• 7:30 – Chulluminati vs. United Rentals – The 1st half of this game was fairly close with Chulluminati taking a 5-point halftime lead. However after halftime Chulluminati stepped up the defense and held United Rentals to just 17-points while their offense picked up 41-points to take the win 75-46. HIGHLIGHTS: Chulluminati: #7 Joel Yoworski 24, #41 Nick Douglas 15, #15 Ian Sullivan 9, #3 Brandon Costabile and #2 TJ Tarasco 8 each, #13 Harris Fayad 6, and #6 Justin Metts 5. United Rentals: #7 Ben Taft 17, #26 Brett Bunting 13, #22 Robert Goulding 9, #33 Robbie Kelley 4, and #13 Derek Koontz 3.
• 8:30 – The Mighty Ducks vs. LS Smith Contractors – LS Smith Contractors got off to a rough start in this game as the Mighty Ducks jumped out to a 11-point halftime lead 32-21. However after halftime LS Smith’s defense was able to hold the Ducks to 21-points while their offense erased the 11-point deficit and took the lead and hold it winning by a final score of 57-53. HIGHLIGHTS: – LS Smith Contractors: #10 Daniel Lockwood 28, #2 Tyrell Horton 13, #32 Louie Decarolis 9, and #3 Chase Blackburn 7. The Mighty Ducks: #22 Richard Murphy 13, #1 Michael Bell 12, #4 Brandon Britt 11, #2 Matt Tackett 9, #24 Brian Young 4, and #32 Jamie Holder 2 each.
